A very rare and early RAC Public Car Park directional rectangular double sided enamel sign, with excellent gloss, 24 inches by 8 inches (61cm x 20cm). This truly stunning sign has never been displayed, the enamel around the fixing holes is evidence of that. Note that there are 4 fixing holes each end so the sign can be displayed to be seen from both sides regardless of the post positioning it.
An identical sign has just sold in auction for £1000 and then there would be 20% commission so this is very well priced.
This sign has come from a private collector that seemed to have specialised in New Old Stock signs, these are signs that were issued for use but then never used.
